My niece's favorite book is The Very Hungry Caterpillar. You know how it goes...
On Monday, she ate through one strawberry, but she was still hungry!
On Tuesday, she had 1 egg with a spoonful of zero-cottage cheese and a piece of low fat turkey sausage for breakfast; tea and galette at 10, lean pork loin from the other night for lunch with a ff/sf jello; a ricotta cheesecake square mid-afternoon; and for dinner, about 4 meatballs, Dukan chicken soup (ff broth with leftover chicken pieces + herbs/spices) washed down with a diet soda. And she was still hungry!
On Wednesday, she ate through eggs and low fat bacon; chai tea with 1% milk and splenda; a chocolate raspberry oat bran galette (recipe needs serious refining); chobani zero fat yogurt and sf jello at lunch; leftover caesar chicken salad (without dressing, croutons, and cheese) mid afternoon; meatballs with tomatoes and spinach, one ricotta "cheesecake" square, some more cottage cheese, and finally some sf nearly ff chocolate pudding. And she was still hungry!
...until about 10 pm, when she got a stomach ache and discovered induction flu as a lovely side effect of high protein diets.
Final score: loss if 0.5 lbs Tuesday, loss of zero lbs Wednesday, and this morning a massive 0.3 lbs, even after nausea turned into full-blown vomiting and I my hard-earned veggies were no more.
